Coach’s Corner – only a few people in the world are known by one name — Sting, Bono, Prince and Nasko! I have to say that Nasko is a terrific young man with fun loving, outgoing personality. He is also one of the most thoughtful people in my circle of friends. We have a team tradition of doing living eulogies for each senior. Each week a senior sits down and the rest of the team performs a living eulogy — its an incredibly powerful experience. Its amazing how Nasko is able to look into the essence of a person and give a flowing beautiful speech about that person. When I pass on I want Nasko to write/give me a eulogy!

His ability to express himself and outgoing personality will serve him well as a theater major. Interestingly enough, Nasko is the first theater major I’ve had on a team. Nasko recently received rave reviews for his role as the Gypsy in Thornton Wilder’s “The Skin Of Our Teeth” at Whitman’s Harper Joy Theatre.

On the court I feel Nasko is beginning to get back into the flow of his game. He possesses a beautiful flowing game that is a joy to watch. He is also very creative on court and able to hit any shot from any place on the court. We do a fun conditioning game called “sports center” that involves tracking down balls on the run and trying to hit an unbelievable shot. The rest of the team often stops to watch Nasko try his tweeners or creative back to the net shots.

In the fall ITA, Nasko played a qualifying match to get into the main draw. Unfortunately he lost to a high seed in the 1st round. In the back draw Nasko fought his way to the finals before losing to one of the top players in the conference.
